Waze is a GPS navigation application which serves to assist drivers in navigating to their desired locations with location information such as distance, traffic conditions, and ETA. Drivers can update traffic conditions on the map, enabling interactions between drivers. Waze also launched Waze Carpool, which is currently a regional feature that allows carpooling between different users (http://​www.​waze.​com) (Fig. 5).

Based on these GPS tracking applications, it can be summarized that all these applications have real-live tracking features, most of which is shown visually through live maps. These applications usually come in either mobile or both web and mobile application for platform supports. Mobile applications are widely used due to its built-in GPS receiver and its portability. ETA and notification alerts are incorporated in these tracking applications and serves as the core features to these applications as it informs user on the trip status. It is found that most of these potential mobile apps available are targeting either generic transit users of their intended key users (e.g. delivery drivers in Detrack). From the application reviewed from the online vendor market, there is little to none tracking application that is targeted at travel agency at managerial level. In order to provide better quality of service in tourism industry, mobile apps for manager is needed in assisting the decision making and conflict resolution process.
